fe para bautizar.

well, sadly enough, we didn't have any baptisms in our area this week. booo. but lots of other cool things happened.. les cuento(:

On Tuesday, we did some intercambios. I worked with Hermana Eppley and we just worked the whole live long day! we got 14 referrals. so that is success, i would say! haha when we want to focus on something, we do it riiiiight! I love learning from other missionaries because I learn a lot about how to have more charity and faith. It's fun times.
Then on Wednesday, we had interviews with Presidente Casariego... It was fun, super laid back and just like, so random. hah but igual, it was good to learn from him. He shared with me in Alma 8 how
Alma ( idk what it says in english) se esforzó en el espíritu, implorando a Dios en ferviente oración... and he told me that I need to keep moving forward with lots of faith, and not to be stressed about big goals, but just to continue working with all diligence and obedience. it was great.
then on thursday we were A FUL! it was so fun. but the fun part was our SICK lesson with Cecilia about the Restoration. Literally one of the most powerful lessons I have had in a long time. and even better because during the first vision, there wasn't ONE dog, phone call, screaming child or anything crazy. the spirit was SO STRONG. she was like, wow, i have never heard about this before, i feel really peaceful. YES. wahoooo! you guys my heart almost exploded out of my chest it was so spiritual. then we played a soccer game with FIFTEEN teenagers that came to play, less actives and non members. it was dope. since we can play sports with members now, we are killin it.

Then we had a super dope stake conference, that came from the area and the apostles. it was super powerful. they talked a lot about three things: keeping the sabbath day holy, youth going on missions and the importance of the family and temples. so basically you all understand what kinds of issues we are dealing with here in argentina. Elder Maynes said that in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, there are 33,000 men between 18-25 that are members and only 800 something are serving full time missions. WHAT. we have a lot of work to do here! it is awesome.

Also, today, Hermana Christensen and I went to two museums today and learned some stuff about Neuquén.. it was pretty cool and boring at the same time. We enjoyed an alfajor and scones from a panadería and we are just really enjoying our time together. (:

Have a solid week, folks. love you guys tons.

us eating, us with the youth/investigators after playing soccer, pudding with bananas and carmel sauce, maybe more food, we like to eat, selfie with something about the first panaderia.

just a giant pava, played some tape game with myself, these cookies STILL exist now. and a selfie in some super old balance.
so enjoy that. happy picture week (;

oh and hey, just to let you guys know, i will be on the radio again this week on Friday! at 6PM argentina time. so, check it out.fmflash.com or something like that. you guys can find it in my old emails. he heh (:

and cool guys.... elder teixiera is coming on wednesday! wahooo for general authorities

houston, we have a problem.

hey ya cool kids. how ya'll doing?? i am doing great. tired. surprised? haha but i love it, ain't nothin' but a G thang babbbayy!
so basically this week went by SO FAST. we are already in the third week of the transfer and i am freaked out. hermana christensen and i can't even believe it... but we are trying working our little bums right off. literally, like we haven't even taken a cutie pic yet to send you you fools.. so sorry about that. we will do better this week. we will do some before and afters from the mtc and now. hahaha (; too bad i don't have like, any of the same clothes to be able to do it. we will see what happens.
so we are kinda bummed because nobody went to church yesterday. we had 3 dates and they all fell because nobody went to church. AAGH. José isn't really progressing. we had a "charla franca" with him and he said that he wanted to keep learning with us, but he isn't really showing interest in getting baptized or changing. he hasn't stopped going to his church, so that is the first sign for us that he isn't down. ii'll let you know how it goes next week.
so the problem is that. we don't have any investigators to be baptized this saturday. and we need TWO of them.... ah. we did find his freaking cutie boy named alejandro, he's 13 and 3 years ago, he wanted to get baptized, but his dad wouldn't let him. KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS... so that he can be baptized on saturday.. him and his mom. it will be a grand miracle. (: we have lots of faith that things will turn out how God wants them to. so just keep us in your ORACIONES. okay? okay. we are just working our little bums off, don't you even worry. have a super good week everybody!!!

#175

ALRIGHT. GOOD WEEKS. I love that stuff. I love having a good week and feelign happy, ya know? I just love it. I love working with my compi Hermana Christensen. I love finding people who want to know more about the gospel. I love leadership training, it is one of the best parts of the mission. I love having goals and working hard everyday to reach them. President Casariego has given us the goal to have 175 baptisms before the end of August. So... keep us in your prayers because we are going to see some serious miracles in these next two weeks. I love the scriptures and preach my gospel. success is slow, but steady. we don't have any progressing investigators right now.. i am in the city, and it is a bit harder to capture peoples attention, but we are finding some great people and trying to work with the members.
beloved transfers. haha i stayed here in barrio limay in neuquen. my 4th transfer here and my companion is hermana christensen from the mtc. it has been SO FUN to be with there again because we are reminiscing on all the good times. and putting to practice some of the things we learned in the mtc...so we are basically just killing it out here! life is good. i am feeling a great change inside of me. my heart is different. I LOVE THE GOSPEL SO MUCH. I don't understand why it took me 14 months to realize that as missionaries, we do one of the most important things in this whole world. we invite people to completely change their lives and enter into the kingdom of God. ISN'T THAT THE SICKEST THING EVER? We had a zone training and I basically cried the whole time. haah and I was in charge of giving it! so silly. it was so awesome. i love my savior and my heavenly father and the atonement and everything good.
Also something super cool that happened this week is that we got blessings from the Bishop to help us with the missionary work. It was one of the most spiritual experiences I have had in the mish and helped me refind my love for work. It totally made me think of when I got set apart as a missionary and how nervous and excited I was to serve. All those feelings came back. More excitement and less nerves, but so many desires to invite EVERYONE to be baptized. (:

have a good week, search ponder and pray. be obedient. 3 nephi 13:31-34

happy fridays with danna (:
^super crazy hair.. that is natural. i have curly hair now. haha its so funny

my beloved farrow. just after playing a good game of fútboool!

well this week was great!

well this week was great! on m onday, we played some fútbol and had a  lesson with our investigator José.  on tuesday we had a great meeting with the leaders on the neuquen zone and decided that we are going to work harder on how to help our investigators get to church by focusing on their needs and teaching with the help of members. and had a sick family night with a couple that has bene reactivated since i got here. also we got to talk with a recent convert about her goals because she had kind of fallen away from the church a bit after her baptism and she is now working ot get her patriarchal blessing and went to church on sunday for the first time in a few weeks. on wednesday, we had a lesson with José again and he said that he got an answer that jose smith was a profet. HOLLA. but then on saturday hetold us he still wasnt convinced. crap´. so we are still working on that one. we ate dinner with the ardnaudins this week and it is alsways so fun. we talked about section 137:1-4 and how great it will be one day to get all together and be togethe rin the marvelous kingdom that God is preparing for us. on Friday, we had a ward activity ... talent show! it was fun! we are trying to get our ward animated again and so not many people came, but it was a very good turn out for what we were expecting and all the talents were really fun. hermana farrow, elder valenzuela and elder carroll and i sang the cup song from pitch perfect. classic. it turned out great (: sunday was tight. we had lots of success at church with less actives and investigators. and then we also had choir, which i love. i wan tto be able to sing so bad. so i am going to work on that this transfer because guess who came to be my companion? HERMANA HANNAH CHRISTENSEN. my freaking bff compy from the mtc. we are so excited. so buckle up kids. it  was so sad to say bye to hermana farrow but we will continue seeing each other at leadership meetings one a month (:
thats all folks.
much love

...SO FAST...

well hey family! this week seriously went by SO FAST. i cannot believe it. it's weird because we didn't even really doing anything reaallllyyy cool, just normal work.

we had zone conference with presidente casariego and talked a lot of faith. we did some intercambios, had some meetings and just balled so hard. crazy trials of our faith are happening right now. presidente and hermana casariego got way sick this last week and the whole office is sick too. with the flu and chicken pox. my comp hasn't had chicken pox yet.. so i will let you know how this week goes. lol.
something that we are doing in our zone right now is that we can't go back to the pension unless we have invited at least one person to be baptized with a specific date. so that is basically because this zone hasn't seen a baptism since april. yiiiikes.

i am almost done reading doctrine and covenants! section 135 made me cry. so sad. it is such a good book. I LOVE THE GOSPEL. WOW.

have a great week. do something that you have always been scared to do. have courage. have faith. be smart (:

week (insert big number)

howdy howdy!

this week was pretty cool, every week is cool on the mission because there are always ups and downs and crazy cool stuff (: its just a bummer that i can't remember everything that i do. ha...
so we did some intercambios and that is always crazy and fun! hah  it is interesting because i am learning a lot how to handle situations that i have never had to be in. I think it is helping me A LOT to be a mom. someday, way lejos en el futuro. ja ja. but it is helping a lot (:
we are going so hard on our bikes, i don't know how i ever walked so much before. bikes are so FAST and functional and smart. ha so great.
this week, our investigator Jose accepted a baptismal date for the 22 of august and went to church yesterday! He said he didn't really like it. HAHAH... he has gone to the iglesia pentecostal since he was born basically so he just isn't used to it.. but we will see how he progresses as we continue teaching him (:
lots of funny and cool stuff happens as missionaries. but this week, i was just riding my bike to a cita and looked down at my chest and saw my name tag. it seriously dawned on me how amazing it is that i am here in argentina serving the people here, teaching them about the restauration of the gospel. isn't that so cool??? i have been here in the 'Tina for a year now and it is has been so great (: i love it, and i have such a strong testimony of the gospel and how it changes people. mostly me, but hey, thats a good thing too (:

keep it real friends, have a solid week! do some family history work.

xoxo
Hermana Terry

last p day, we ate waffle sandwiches. so good.

and we were accidentally twinning.. haha nothing like twinning missionaries (:

yayayayLIFE

well, can we get a shout out for just having LIFE??? and knowledge of the gospel?? ISN'T THAT SO COOL???  I thought so. (:

This week went rolling on by.. why, do you ask? BECAUSE WE GOT BIKES. yah yah.. haha so we have just been mobbing around, loving life. i am pretty saddle sore, which sucks. the first day i couldn't even sit on my chair to study. lol #outofshape...  it is way better here to ride bikes. (:

So do you want to hear a cool secret about that talk I sent home last week? There is a story about a missionary who has a lot of faith and has a ton of success in his mission. He not only baptized a TON, but he taught lots of people how to be happy and have faith in the Lord. So that missionary... is MY NEW MISSION PRESIDENT. Soooo cool right? If you haven't read it, sucks to suck. ha no but read it because it will change your freakin' VIDA. Things are really changing here in the mission, it has been so great.

We did lots of work this week, sadly enough, Debo isn't really about us anymore. :( the last time we saw her, it was SO AWKWARD. waaaahhh. we are bummed but we know that her time will come and we aren't giving up on her. We also recontacted lots of old investigators that have been to church and accepted baptismal dates. They all recieved us and we have appointments with them this week. YAYY. milagroosss (:

Sad news. a cutie abuelita from Zapala is here in the hospital, in a coma. I am so bummed to hear stuff like that. So we have been working with her less active kids that live here and they have totally recieved us and there are some people that aren't members so we are trying to get a handle on all that.

Its been a good week. I am doing good. I ate my first asado here in Neuquén for the first time yesterday, so that was much needed. ha I told Hermano Castillo that I am going to build a parilla when I have my own house. No doubts.

have a really great week, and do what Jesus would do.

xoxo
Hermana Terry

BICIS!!!
crazy fools (: Hermana Farrow got glasses. cool kid.

throw back to zapala because my pics don't work. love you fools. hah

yayayayLI

these are the pics i sent earlier (:

"antes hacía skate, yo..."

"wow, que buena onda..."

hahahah well, happy week everybody! i have lots of good things, so buckle up! (: first, let me explain the title. there were some homies out skating on the cement field we have at the church, but they were totally smoking some doobies and we were like, uh uh chicos, ain't happenin´. so we went out there and said they could totally skate but that it would be better if they didn't smoke.. they were chill about it.. and then randomely I was like, I used to skateboard.. so it's fun to watch you guys. and some homie is like, wow, that is such good vibes. hahahahah wow. so weird. #icanttalktoboys.

so, on july 1, it was Canada Day, feliz día Canadians! haha thats mainly a shout out to my bb gurl makenzie. get it girl! Then, this week we had to say bye bye to the Lovells :( it was such a bummer! But, hey the new Presidente Casariego and his wife are super chill! we had a meeting with them called Meet The President! It was funny. they are such niceys! They are from Uruguay. Something cool that he shared was that we will have had success on our missions when our children and grandkids are sealed in the temple and strong in the gospel. TIGHT. I hope that all of my posterity gets way hyped on the gospel because I am aboouuuttt it!
Also this week, we didn't have lunch and we decided to make some black beans... but we had to leave to contact, obviously. So we were like, okay we will just let it boil and when we come back in like 2 hours, it'll be fine! haha bad idea. So we left and I totally had a feeling while we were contacting to go back to the pension to check it out. but I ignored it because we were having lots of success. Well.. when we got back to the pensh, it was FULL of smoke. I am surprised that there wasn't a fire. We opened all the windows and when we left, we smelled like smokers. Our pension still smells like a casino, but when we are there, we keep the windows open. so crazy.. (this is the third time it has happened.. i think i have learned that it isn't a good idea to leave the stove or oven going. #idiotic)
this week we found 3 new families! Wahooooo. and two of them live in these freaky fancy neighborhoods. So we are hyped to start to teaching them (and kind of to enter a nicey house here... haha) But more than anything, we are excited to  have three families to teach (:

This week, Elder Thompson shared a way tight district meeting with us. Basically just trying animate us because we don't have a single baptismal date in the district :( But he shared some cool scriptures with us to help: (mosiah 28:3; alma 26)

Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bearthat any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endlesstorment did cause them to quake and tremble.
23 Now do ye remember, my brethren, that we said unto our brethren in the land of Zarahemla, we go up to the land of Nephi, to preach unto our brethren, the Lamanites, and they laughed us to scorn?  24 For they said unto us: Do ye suppose that ye can bring the Lamanites to the knowledge of the truth? Do ye suppose that ye can convince the Lamanites of the incorrectness of the traditions of their fathers, asstiffnecked a people as they are; whose hearts delight in the shedding of blood; whose days have been spent in the grossest iniquity; whose ways have been the ways of a transgressor from the beginning? Now my brethren, ye remember that this was their language.   And now, I ask, what great blessings has he bestowed upon us? Can ye tell?   Behold, I answer for you; for our brethren, the Lamanites, were in darkness, yea, even in the darkest abyss, but behold, how many of them are brought to behold the marvelous light of God! And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work.  31 Now behold, we can look forth and see the fruitsof our labors; and are they few? I say unto you, Nay, they are many; yea, and we can witness of their sincerity, because of their love towards their brethren and also towards us.
So that helped me remember the promises I made to come here and help the people of Argentina and do my best to bring their souls to salvation. It was really nice (:
Happy 4th of July! Today we got to celebrate a little bit, we roasted some hot dogs, ate salad with ranch dressing, and apple crisp. haha It was very American, made me feel good. Also, I totally made homemade bread for the buns. for my very first time.. so, HOLLA for that. haha It was sooo good. (#wifeymaterial. ALL argentines say that once you can cook, you are ready to get married. lol. so silly)
Well, thats all I have time to write. but I was reading in D&C 101 about the second coming a bit and read verses 59-60.. made me hyped to keep preparing and repenting all of the days. Read it, and get everything in line (:
HAVE A GREAT WEEK. LOVE YOU GUYS
XOXO
Hermana Terry
